Coach Mark Fasczewski from Chattanooga will be leading a USAC Athlete Development Camp in Sewanee TN from Sunday, June 12th through Friday, June 17th. The registration deadline is June 1st.

2011 Athlete Development Camps Final Notice
Now is the time to get your registration in for the USA Cycling Athlete Development Camps. If you have qualified to go, you have already been notified by USA Cycling. If you have NOT been notified, but still want to attend, you can email the camp manager and ask for a waiver to attend. The purpose of these camps is twofold:
1. To develop young riders into skilled bike racers by injecting them into an environment where they are taught, and then get to immediately practice, skills which are required for them to become successful in the sport. In addition, they will attend daily lectures regarding topics such as sports nutrition, bike mechanics, and training both on and off the bike.
2. Talent identification. Each rider will undergo a series of standardized field tests that will enable USA Cycling to identify up and coming talent for the U.S. Junior and U23 National Team programs. These riders have then moved on to racing in Europe, and eventually some progress into the professional ranks of cycling both domestically and internationally.
In Tennessee, we have a USA Cycling Road Development Camp just outside of Chattanooga, near Sewanee College. It starts on Sunday, June 12th and runs until Friday, June 17th. There have been multiple riders who have come through this camp who have and are still now racing for the U.S. National Team.
The cost for the camps is $750.00.
