2013/2014 CYCLOCROSS CALENDAR ANNOUNCED

We are proud to announce the 2013/2014 TBRA cyclocross calendar! We are also excited to announce a significant change from our traditional approach to a state-wide BAR points series this year in an effort to offer more geographically-based races due to the fact that racers haven't been traveling much in the last several years outside of their home base area.

For the 2013/2014 cyclocross season, we will offer five separate, geographically-centered, BAR points series. These five regional series will consist of the following areas: Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Tri-Cities. All five series will consist primarily of regional BAR points races in the home area, with one or two races in each series also including BAR points races from a neighboring market. This will hopefully provide ample racing opportunities in everyone's back yard while also encouraging everyone to travel one or twice to a neighboring market. This also opens the calendar up to new and existing promoters that want opportunities to promote more local races. At the end of each regional BAR points series this season, respective champions will be crowned in the usual TBRA CX categories in each of the five regional series.

The designation as to which races will be in each regional series should be made shortly.

And finally, yes, there will still be a single State Championship race. That race date and location will be announced in the coming days, so stay tuned for that announcement and get ready to race!
