2013/2014 CYCLOCROSS CALENDAR ANNOUNCED

We are proud to announce the 2013/2014 TBRA cyclocross calendar! We are also excited to announce a significant change from our traditional approach to a state-wide BAR points series this year in an effort to offer more geographically-based races due to the fact that racers haven't been traveling much in the last several years outside of their home base area.

2013 TN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TRACK RESULTS

The TN State Championships for track were held in conjunction with the GA State Championships on August 10th at the Dick Lane Velodrome in East Point, GA.

The 2013 State Championship Jersey winners are:

Elite Men: Matthew Robbins (Hub Endurance Chattanooga)

Masters 40-49: Michael Twigg (Harper Auto / KnoxVelo)

Masters 60+: Thomas Gee (Hub City Bicycle - Lift Center Racing)

Elite Women: Shelly Collins (Team Belladium)

MEMPHIS VELO ROAD RACE FORMAT CHANGE

The Memphis Velo event scheduled for September 14, 2013 has been changed from a road race to a Gran Fondo format. Details for the Gran Fondo should be available on the Memphis Velo website shortly.

LOCK 4 MTB RACES RESCHEDULED FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND

In the best interest of the trails and riders, the Old Hickory Classic TT/XC Mountain Bike races originally scheduled for August 10-11 at Lock 4 in Gallatin have been rescheduled for the Aug 30th / Sept 1 weekend (Labor Day weekend) due to recent rains and flash flooding at the venue.

I AM CRITERIUM - BATTLE OF NASHVILLE: SAT AUG 3

August 3rd 2013, I AM The Engine is hosting their first annual I AM Criterium: Battle of Nashville at the Bicentennial Mall State Park in downtown Nashville.

Racers and guests get discounted concert tickets for the concert and everyone gets free admission to the festival, so bring your friends and family.

TN Junior riders had their TN State Championship Road Race this past weekend at the Oak Ridge Velo Classic. Congratulations to the five junior riders who brought home state championship jerseys.

RIVER GORGE RR/TT - SAT AUG 24th, 2013

There will be a bit of a schedule change for the River Gorge weekend in Chattanooga this year. The festivities will kick off Saturday morning (Aug 24) with the traditional road race, and the time trial will be held later that afternoon. We're sorry to report that the popular downtown criterium will not be held this year.

TN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TRACK EVENT (Aug 10, 2013)

TBRA will once again be partnering with the Dick Lane Velodrome for the 2013 State Championship track event. State championship competitions will be held for TN riders in five classes: Elite Men, Elite Women, Masters 40+, Masters 50+, and Masters 60+.
