2015 TBRA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ROAD EVENTS ANNOUNCED

TBRA is proud to announce the 2015 Tennessee State Road Championships. Shine up your bike and get ready to head out to Lascassas, Oak Ridge, and Dover for our 2015 State Championship events.

The State Time Trial will be held on a course that is no stranger to time trialists in TN. It's now called the Shake-n-Bake TT and will be held June 13 in Lascassas, TN. This certified course with 40k of big rollers and not a flat spot on it will make for a pretty painful hour in the saddle.

The State Championship Criterium is also being held on a course very familiar to TBRA racers, but the first time as a Championship course. The Criterium Championship will be held at Oak Ridge on July 26 as part of the Oak Ridge Velo Classic. This epic 3 turn criterium course begins with a 180 turn right out of the gun, then opens up into a fast, open race. There's a slight roller as you sweep around the backside, then come back downhill and make the final sweeping curve before the long, fast (slightly uphill) finish.

The State Championship Road Race will be Aug 2 at Espinazo del Diablo (The Devil's Backbone) in Dover, TN. To describe this course as epic is an understatement. El Diablo will continuously punch you in the face with one short, steep jab after another. Some of the punches can swing over a 20% gradient. Just make sure you save enough for the final climb toward the uphill finish.
