TENNESSEE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TIME TRIAL ANNOUNCED

2011 Tennessee State Time Trial Championship Memorial Day Weekend Announced.

TBRA is excited to announce the Tennessee State Time Trial Championship weekend. Tim Hall from NashvilleCyclist.com and Mark Dement of MOAB/Middle Tennessee Velo are teaming up to co-promote a new weekend on the TBRA road-racing calendar. The State Time Trial Championship will be held on Saturday May 28 and feature a return to the Lascassas community and be followed up by the MOAB Criterium in historic downtown Murfreesboro on Sunday May 29.

"NashvilleCyclist.com is honored to once again promote the Tennessee State Time Trial Championship. It will be an exciting return of racing to the Lascassas community after their hiatus, and I am certain racers will be pleased with the fast course we plan to use there,” Said Tim Hall of Nashvillecyclist.com. “In 2008 and 2009 we set record highs in participation at this championship event, and I predict we will set another record in 2011."

"MOAB is thrilled to offer this full weekend of racing over Memorial Day weekend. The last downtown criterium in Murfreesboro was back in 2004, and it has been missed by racers ever since,” said Mark Dement of MOAB/Middle Tennessee Velo. “Our hope is to develop it into an annual weekend Tennessee racers can come to expect. We look forward to making it a rewarding and memorable experience for everyone."

Combined with the State Championship Road Race in East Tennessee and the State Championship Criterium in West Tennessee, each of the three grand divisions are now equally represented on the TBRA road racing calendar, giving racers from across the state an equal opportunity to compete for the state championship titles.
