2010 -2011 TBRA CELEBRATION OF CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCED

After a one-year absence, the TBRA Board of Directors is happy to announce the return of the TBRA Celebration of Champions. The event will be held in conjunction with a Cross the Way Cyclocross race on Saturday November 19 at the Page Farm in Murfreesboro.

The TBRA board hopes that this event is not only a tribute to the TBRA champions, but also an all encompassing celebration of what the racing scene has become in Tennessee. We could not think of a better way to highlight the diversity of racing, then to highlight our vibrant cyclocross racing community. We encourage everyone to come spend the whole day with us, spectate and even participate in a race, socialize and reconnect with your racing friends and family.

To facilitate and highlight the user friendliness of cross racing, we will have several local bike shops on site to offer you the opportunity to demo a bike and even take it out for a race. The Page Farm offers a very spectator friendly course, so be sure to bring your cowbells.

The celebration will informally kick off around 1:00 with Michael Taglio, owner of Tagz 5 Star Meats, grilling an assortment of chicken, hamburgers and sausages. Michael “DJ Modo” Modesto, from Cumberland Transit will also be in attendance throughout the day providing music. The formal award presentations will begin at 3:30 where we will celebrate 2 years of TBRA Champions. Since there was not an event in 2010, we will be presenting over 200 awards that will be given out to current and past TBRA Champions; so much of the formal banquet time will be spent giving out awards and jerseys.
