2012 TBRA MOUNTAIN BIKE SCHEDULE RELEASED

The 2012 TBRA Mountain Bike schedule was released today, featuring 17 TBRA points races at nine different venues.

The schedule features many of the classic venues, as well as a return to the popular Haw Ridge course in Oak Ridge . Also on the schedule is brand new east Tennessee event at Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport.

The season will once again kick off in March at Booker T Washington with a full weekend of racing and continue through mid-September, ending several weeks earlier than in the past.

While the State Championship race will not be selected until the January board meeting, TBRA has received interest from several promoters in hosting the championship event.

"The 2012 MTB season should be full and exciting with races stretching all across the state" notes TBRA Mountain Bike Director Michael Edens. "This will provide both variety and challenge throughout the year. I think we will continue to grow our classic events and embrace the new ones with open arms. The 2012 season will be fun and memorable for everyone involved."

Please be aware that, as with any early season schedule, there may be some minor movement in dates or venues as we approach the first races of the year.
