CYCLING CAMP - APR 26-28, 2013

Endeavor Performance is offering a three-day camp for new racers or anyone who is interested in competitive cycling. The camp is open to both men and women, and will be held in Sewanee TN from April 26-28, 2013.

ROAD RULE REMINDERS

Here's a few selected reminders from our officials as we enter the road season.

1I5. Young Junior/Youth Bicylces

All riders aged 14 and under are restricted to massed-start bicycles as defined in 1I1(g). These bicycles must also have at least 16 spokes and no wheel covers may be used.

1I1(g). A massed-start bicycle is a road or track bicycle that is legal in all events within the road or track discipline, rather than a bicycle that is restricted to particular events. Handlebars for mass-start bicycles may not have forearm supports nor handlebar extensions or attachments that point forward.

RACE CALENDAR UPDATES

Please be aware of the following race calendar changes for three upcoming events.

The Highland Rim Omnium will move from its traditional May weekend to the Sep 7-8, 2013 weekend.

The I AM Mountain: Hamilton Creek mtb events promoted by I AM Racing has been moved back a week to Sat May 25, 2013. The Downhill event has been removed, and the remaining three events (TT, ST, and XC) will all be held on a single day.

I AM Racing's inaugural I AM Criterium - Battle of Nashville has confirmed their date of Sat Aug 3, 2013.

USA CYCLING MID-SOUTH REGIONAL CAMP (July 28 - Aug 2)

Coach Mark Fasczewski will once again be leading the USA Cycling Mid-South Development Camp. The camp will be held from July 28 thru Aug 2nd, 2013 at St. Mary's in Sewanee, TN.

ROAD SCHEDULE UPDATES

There have been three recent updates to the 2013 TBRA Road Schedule.

The USAC categories for the April 6th Cobra-Tornado Criterium have been cancelled. All of the collegiate races for the weekend will go on as scheduled.

The Cedar Hill Circuit Race, originally scheduled for Sunday April 14th has been moved up a week to Sunday April 7th.

I Am the Engine will be promoting a new race, the Battle of Nashville on Saturday Aug 3rd.

USAC OFFICIAL'S CLINICS MARCH 16-17, 2013

There will be several clinics and meetings for prospective and returning USAC Officials on the weekend of March 16-17, 2013 in Crossville TN.

2013 SEASON KICKS OFF WITH INDOOR TT SERIES

The 2013 race season will kick off in less than three weeks with an indoor time trial series promoted by Team Belladium. This unique first year event will be held over two weekends on Sat Feb 23rd and Sat Mar 30th at Endeavor Performance in Nashville.

2013 TN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ROAD RACE

TBRA is pleased to announce the 2013 TN State Championship Road Race events. For the first time ever, we will be holding the Junior events on a separate weekend at a different venue.

The Junior State Championships will be on Sat July 27th at the Oak Ridge Velo Road Race.

All other fields will battle for their State Championship jerseys at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center Road Race in Gainesboro on Sat June 29th.

2013 MASTERS ROAD RACING CATEGORIES

In an effort to improve participation and improve the quality of Masters racing in Tennessee, TBRA will be moving to a new category structure in 2013 for Masters fields.

2013 TBRA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ROAD EVENTS

TBRA is pleased to announce the following 2013 state championship events.

Time Trial: The TBRA State Championship Time Trial will be held on Sunday May 5th in Chattanooga on a brand new course which will be a preview of the USPRO TT course later in the month.

Criterium: The MOAB Criterium on Sunday July 21st in Murfreesboro will serve as the State Championship Criterium.

Road Race: The designation for the State Championship Road Race is still pending and should be announced shortly.
